Privacy Policy

The short version

PrayerCove does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. Your prayers, coves, and settings are stored only on your device.

The only thing that ever leaves your device is an anonymous crash report if the app crashes — it never includes anything you write. See “Crash reports” below.

What we store, and where

Everything you create in PrayerCove — prayers, updates, coves, people, and preferences — is saved locally on your device, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is kept in your device’s secure enclave (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

PrayerCove has no server. We cannot read your prayers, and neither can anyone else.

What we don’t do

No accounts or sign-ups. No analytics. No advertising or tracking SDKs. No selling, sharing, or processing of personal data of any kind. The one exception is anonymous crash reporting, described below.

Crash reports

If PrayerCove crashes, the app sends an anonymous crash report (processed by Sentry) so we can find and fix the bug. A crash report contains only the technical error trace and basic device information, such as the device model and operating system version.

Crash reports never include your prayers, names, or anything you type — and they are never used for tracking or advertising.

Notifications

Prayer reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They never leave it, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings or in your system preferences.

Sharing

When you use the share feature (for example, sharing an answered prayer), content is passed to your device’s native share sheet. What you share, and with whom, is entirely under your control.

Children

PrayerCove does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. There is nothing collected to begin with.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of PrayerCove adds optional online features (such as synced Coves), this policy will be updated first, and any such feature will be opt-in and end-to-end encrypted.
